REASON TO EXPECT JFK FILES TO BE RELEASED?
New President Obama Calls For Making More
Information Public
In his
first day in office, President Obama appeared to set a new tone with
respect to
how the government would deal with the Freedom of Information Act.
Specifically, officials are to err on the side of revealing more and
not less.
Tim Miller of
FlatSigned Press
and publisher of Gerald Ford’s memoirs would
like to see this applied to the JFK files
“As an integral member of the
Warren Commission, President Ford had copious
notes he wanted me to incorporate into his memoirs,” says Miller.
“While he
never said what happened to JFK, based on what I was able to glean from
conversations along with those notes, I have no doubt Americans would
be
extremely interested in seeing those files.”
Miller believes Mr. Obama’s
stance that legal efforts to suppress information
should be replaced with more transparency could be manifested in a
concerted
effort to release the JFK files
